Librarians Without Borders is:

an organization that was born in February 2005 by a group of socially-minded librarians who wanted to address the vast information resource inequity existing between different regions of the world. Our vision is to build sustainable libraries and support their custodians and advocates -- librarians.

  1. I can't help thinking that the genesis of this organisation's name came about in a culture where irony is not a particularly significant mode of thought or discourse. Alternatively, these could be the guys behind such worthy organisations as Accountants With Attitude, Scraping Dinnerladies Off The Wheel or even We've Got A Fuzzbox And We're Going To Dispose Of It In An Environmentally Responsible Manner.
