Technical Information about ReadySteadyBook

The re-development of RSB was designed and constructed between June and August, 2005. The back-end engine for the site is a bespoke solution built using ASP.NET (VB.NET) and MySQL technologies. The front-end makes full use of XHTML/CSS2 (where possible).

We are using open-source components to generate the news-feeds. Our deepest thanks goes to both the RSS.NET and Atom.NET project teams.

On the Blog and Contributor pages we have implemented Paul Riley's NoSpamEmailHyperlink code to confuse the evil SpamBots! (Cheers Paul!)

We would also like to thank the developer of FreeTextBox, as we use it in our admin tools.
